Minos Mare Royal, Platanias, Crete

This town is the perfect place to wander slowly through the narrow, meandering streets filled with traditional cafes and tempting tavernas. There are many marvellous old buildings that line the maze of alleyways and not to be missed is a visit to the imposing battlements of the 16th Century Venetian Fortress.
