Istron Bay Hotel
On a magnificent white sandy bay, lapped by sparkling turquoise water, the Istron Bay Hotel gently cascades down to its beach below.
The hotel has a lovely peaceful atmosphere with plenty of pleasing areas to sit and enjoy the views and general ambience. Istron Bay Hotel is completely self-contained, but there is a great deal to do here and it is only a short distance from the village of Istron and from here buses connect with nearby Agios Nikoloas where there are plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants around the busy, colourful harbour.
We have chosen Superior Rooms with bedroom and small sitting area. All rooms have a sea view, balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, minibar and en suite bathrooms with hairdryer and bathrobes.
The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast and buffet dinner and there is an à la carte beach restaurant, the ‘Meltemi’ which combines atmosphere, entertainment and good food. There is also a café bistro and beach taverna, as well as a separate cocktail beach bar to keep you refreshed. The hotel also has a massage room, hairdresser, mini-market and jewellery shop. There is occasionally entertainment ranging from a Cretan night to live classical music and even Greek dancing lessons – in fact something for everyone.
In the gardens there is a superb swimming pool surrounded by sun terraces which overlook the bay. From the hotel to the beach there are approximately 50 steps and sloping pathways. There are also steps all around the hotel and swimming pool area. The 600 metre beach is secluded and protected and there is a small jetty. Sunbeds, sunshades and beach towels are provided.
