PALAZZINO DI CORINA
Situated on a quiet little back street only a stone's throw from Rethymnon's wonderful Venetian Harbour, the Palazzino Di Corina fits perfectly amidst the historic charm of this fascintaing town where every corner turned uncovers a colourful and tormented past.
With just 21 rooms the Palazzino holds on to a traditional, warm, family hospitality and service. The beautiful old buildings, dating back 400 years, have been restored to include many of their original features, such as stone archways, long wooden beams and creaky staircases, and provide a story book for the imagination.
The elegant rooms, most with wooden floors and attractive high-beamed ceilings, offer a choice of twin/double rooms. They are all different and have a charm of their own, but all are comfortable, stylish and tastefully decorated and include modern conveniences of baths with hydro-massage, air-conditioning, minbar and satllite TV.
A buffet breakfast is served in an airy restaurant that opens on to the lovely courtyard where there is a small plunge pool.

ISTRON BAY HOTEL
On a lovely sandy bay, lapped by sparkling turquoise water, the Istron Bay Hotel gently cascades down to its beach below, which is accessed by flights of steps and sloping paths. This family-run hotel has a lovely peaceful atmosphere with plenty of pleasing areas to sit and enjoy the views and general ambience.
Superior Sea View Rooms are twin/double bedded and have a small sitting area and balcony overlooking the bay. They have en-suite shower/bath rooms with bath robes, hairdrye, air-conditioning, TV, telephone, safe and minibar.
Istron Bay Hotel is completely self-contained as there is a great deal to do here, but it is only a short distance from the nearby village of Istron and buses connect with the nearby town of Agios Nikolaos. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool situated in gardens and sun terraces which overlook the bay. The 600 metre beach is secluded and protected and there is a small jetty for the hotel and guests’ boats. Sunbeds and parasols are provided with a beach towel service. A café bistro and beach taverna, as well as a separate cocktail beach bar, will keep you refreshed.
The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner and there is an à la carte beach restaurant, The Meltemi, which combines atmosphere, entertainment and good cuisine with fresh fish and lobster menus. Food is taken seriously here and the hotel Manager takes pride in offering traditional Cretan cuisine and creating contemporary Mediterranean dishes.
There is also a massage room, hairdresser, mini-market and jewellery shop.
