Some of the most beautiful scenery and splendid views are hidden away in the untouched woodland, craggy hillsides, sleepy villages and pretty valleys of NORTH CYPRUS. These are the places that can best be discovered and explored on foot and our tour will take you into forests, across agricultural land, along mountain ridges and amongst ancient olive groves. The sea can occasionally be glimpsed as well as towering CRUSADER CASTLES, ruined monasteries and remote farmhouses..

The tour is led by Christina Hessenberg who is a highly respected guide and artist, with a wealth of knowledge about North Cyprus. Christina has co-written the book ‘Walks in North Cyprus’, and has spent many happy days experiencing the walks in all weathers. The cooler months are ideal for this holiday. Apart from enjoying the lovely vistas, in March wild flowers will be appearing, whilst October is a golden tranquil time when the harshness of the summer heat has gone, but the sea is still warm for swimming.
Those contemplating this holiday will obviously be keen walkers, and in order to cope with the walks, must be able to walk at least five miles within two and a half hours, over terrain that is sometimes uneven and occasionally fairly steep.
