This is not an intensive lecture and dawn departure tour, but our excellent English guide knows and loves the island, its history, flora and fauna, and will bring it to life for you as you stroll through the sites together.

Most of the castles are fairly easily accessible except for BUFFAVENTO CASTLE. Perched high on a mountainside, this incredible castle is a must. It involves a four-mile panoramic drive along a forest road and a 40-minute walk up a mountain path. It is well worth going, even if you decide not to walk up to the castle. This is an optional tour.


To enjoy this remarkable tour you do need to be able to walk up winding paths and uneven steps. For those travelling in autumn there is warm sea swimming and in spring lovely wild flowers.
You will be met at the airport and visited at your hotel by our Representative. She knows and loves the island and will advise you on the best places for swimming, walks, drives and tours.
