Following two successful years we are now delighted to once again offer this popular tour cruising on Lake Nasser and along the River Nile on board M/S Eugenie and M/S Amarco.

The luxury and comfort of our cruising ships promise you a unique experience sailing on Lake Nasser and gently along the Nile, absorbing the famous sights and sounds of Egypt, and enjoying the elegant and relaxed ambience on board. Your first night will be in Cairo at the Marriott Hotel and your last night will be in Luxor at the Steingenberger Luxor Hotel (full details in our itinerary).

m/s eugenie has 52 cabins and 2 suites. You will stay in Upper Deck Front cabins with private balcony and en suite bathrooms with shower, basin, wc and hairdryer. There is an elegant restaurant serving excellent cuisine and 2 bars. Other facilities include sauna, oriental steam bath, small gym and swimming pool with sun deck.

m/s amarco has 53 elegant and stylishly furnished cabins/suites. You will stay in luxuriously decorated cabins, each with twin/double beds, en suite bathrooms with bath/shower, air-conditioning, TV, minibar, telephone, safe and hairdryer.

The restaurant serves excellent international cuisine served in buffet and à la carte style. There is a lounge, salon and bars. Other facilities include a swimming pool/large sun deck, spa, jewellery/souvenir shop, hairdresser, laundry, internet access and lift.

You are sure to receive a very hospitable welcome by all the crew members on both ships who pride themselves on giving an excellent personal service.

The creation of Lake Nasser through the construction of the ASWAN DAM in 1954 and the UNESCO project in 1960 to save the historical sites of NUBIA to which you will visit, are considered two of the greatest engineering feats in modern history.

There is no better way to view the panorama of local life, past and present, than from the elevated outlook from the decks as you glide gently along.

Stunning views along the Nile reveal the intensive green fertile band along the river’s edge, in stark contrast to the surrounding dry desert and mountain landscape beyond. As you smoothly slip by you will observe rural life along the river banks, giving numerable photo opportunities and an everchanging vista of local life on the water’s edge.

OPTIONAL ADD ON - 2 NIGHTS IN CAIRO
Visiting the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza,
The famous Cairo Museum and a city tour of Cairo.

For those who would like to extend their cruise to include the ancient sites at Giza, we offer 2 nights in Cairo, before meeting up with the group for departure from Cairo Airport to Abu Simbel to begin the cruise.

In Cairo you will stay at the comfortable Marriott Cairo Hotel ****, ideally located in the centre of the city.

Highlights of your visit to Cairo will include a visit to GIZA, site of the famous monuments and PYRAMIDS of ancient Egypt. Constructed 4,500 years ago on a rocky desert close to the River Nile, these massive stone structures epitomize the ancient civilisations, whose symbolism, purpose and design has proved a fascinating mystery over the millenia. You will visit the SOLAR BOAT MUSEUM, Khan el Khalili Bazaar and have the opportunity to explore this fascinating, vibrant city, including an unforgettable visit to the renowned CAIRO MUSEUM.
