This new deluxe cruising ship was launched in October 2007 and promises you a unique, luxurious experience sailing gently ALONG the Nile, absorbing the famous sights and sounds of Egypt, and enjoying the elegant and relaxed ambience on board.

Our 9 day tour/cruise of the River Nile, begins in Cairo, then explores the Nile from Abu Simbel and Aswan to Luxor, on to Quena, then back to Luxor to stay for two nights at the Sofitel Old Winter Palace Hotel, situated right on the banks of the Nile.

There is no better way to view the panorama of life on the Nile, past and present, than the elevated outlook from on deck as you glide gently upstream.

Stunning views along the river reveal the intensive green fertile band along the water's edge, in stark contrast to the surrounding dry desert and mountain landscape beyond. Centuries of annual floods have deposited extremely rich sediments along the river banks, creating fertile soil and providing just the right environment for societies and civilisations to spring into life.

As you smoothly slip by you will observe rural life along the river banks, giving innumerable photo opportunities and an ever-changing vista of local life on the water's edge.

A highlight of your stay in Cairo will be a visit to Giza, site of the famous monuments and pyramids of ancient Egypt. Constructed 4,500 years ago on a rocky desert plateau close to the Nile, these massive stone structures epitomize the ancient civilisations, whose symbolism, purpose and design has proved a fascinating mystery over the millennia.

You will also have the opportunity to explore the fascinating, vibrant city of Cairo and a visit to the renowned CAIRO MUSEUM is included.
