Our tour starts in the wild, fascinating area of BARBAGIA. This is the very heart of Sardinia with its imposing mountain ranges and hillsides covered with a huge variety of different trees, flowers and wild herbs. Here you will have a typical lunch with one of the traditional shepherds that tend their animals, producing tender, delicious meat and various cheeses. Vineyards are abundant in this area and the wines are excellent.
The southern part of the GULF OF OROSEI is well known for its impressive limestone cliffs and magnificent white sandy beaches. We have arranged a full day boat trip along this coast stopping at two or three beautiful beaches and incorporating a delicious fish lunch.
During the second part of your tour you will have the opportunity to discover the north east region of GALLURA which is famous for its monumental granite rock formations and cork oaks.
You will drive through an impressive cork oak forest with the chance of seeing how cork is worked. Excursions will also be made to the famous COSTA SMERALDA and to ‘LA MADDALENA’ – an island between Sardinia and Corsica that is a protected sea park.
Transport to and from Olbia Airport will be in a minibus or 4WD jeeps. During your tour excursions will be in 4WD jeeps.
An experienced guide who speaks good English will accompany you throughout your tour.
