BOAT TRIPS/EXCURSIONS
Boat trips are included in some of our holidays. No refunds can be given for trips which cannot take place due to force majeure, adverse weather conditions, or serviceability of craft. Some of these may not be suitable for people with restricted mobility. All optional trips, excursions and sports are taken at your own risk.

CAR HIRE
Some of our holidays include car hire. No refunds can be given for unused cars in resort. Please read your Contract documentation with the car-hire company carefully and ensure you comply with the requirements of the Contract. You will need a Valid British Driving Licence.
COST OF YOUR HOLIDAY – TOUR PRICES HELD!
The good news for clients this year is that we have held the prices on Tours in our new World Wide 2007/08 brochure. For example, this means that you will pay the same price for your tour to Sri Lanka in 2008 as you would in our Winter 06/07 Brochure.
DATA PROTECTION POLICY
In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly, we need to use the information you provide such as your name, and any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.
Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will not, however, pass any information on to any person who is not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. In making your booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. Your data controller is: Cricketer Holidays. You are entitled to a copy of your information held by us, for which we may make a charge.
FLEXIBLE DEPARTURE DATES
On many of our ‘hotel’ holidays we are now able to offer flexible travel dates, depending on flight availability. The prices shown in our brochure will still apply to the 8-day or 15-day holiday, but if you prefer to travel on a different day, and perhaps just want 10 days away, we will do our best to arrange this for you and give you a quotation. Please enquire when booking. All flights and prices quoted in the brochure are subject to availability.
FLIGHTS
ADVANCED PASSENGER INFORMATION – Some airlines have introduced new regulations on 1st April 2007, requiring additional information from all passengers taking flights. When booking your holiday we will therefore also ask for your passport number and expiry date, gender, date of birth, nationality and an emergency contact number of a friend or relative in the UK. As with all the information you give to us, UK data protection and privacy laws apply. The information will only be used for its intended purpose.
AIRPORT REPRESENTATION - We have appointed Airport Agencies as our representatives to assist you with your departure. They will be in the check-in area wearing Cricketer Holidays name badges, up to 3 hours before departure.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE/RESTRICTIONS - In recent months there have been many changes to the weight and size of baggage allowed by airlines and British Airport’s Authority handlers. Occasionally, airlines have different regulations to the British Airports Authority regulations. You are therefore advised to check with your airline before travelling for the most up to date information on ‘checked in’ and ‘hand baggage’ allowances/restrictions.
There are also very strict regulations on weight allowances. If you exceed the weight limit you may be required to pay for the excess.
DELAYS There are occasions completely beyond our control when a flight is delayed, but if possible we will endeavour to reduce the discomfort you suffer by providing extra services and meals where applicable. For scheduled flights the individual airline policy will apply.
REGIONAL AIRPORTS – The short-haul ‘hotel’ holidays in our brochure show prices based on flight departures from Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted but these are subject to availability. However, we recognise that nowadays many people prefer to travel from Regional Airports and we are happy to arrange this where possible. However, due to the nature of making individual bookings, there will be different aircraft type/flight timings to those shown in the brochure and occasionally a cost supplement payable. Please enquire at the time of booking. Generally, it is not possible to arrange flights from Regional Airports for long-haul holidays, or escorted tours.
TIMINGS - We endeavour to give you accurate information about flights and flight timings which are correct at the time of going to press. However, occasionally flight timings/aircraft type can be subject to alteration. Such changes will not be regarded as a ‘significant’ change and you will not be entitled to cancel your holiday without paying the appropriate cancellation charge. You will only be able to cancel your holiday booking without penalty, or to receive compensation, when the change to your flight time is 12 hours or more. We will inform you of any changes as soon as we are advised.
TICKETS - Many airlines now issue ‘E-tickets’ as an alternative to the usual printed ticket. In all cases there will be some printed documentation which you should take to the airport when you travel. After you have presented your E-ticket you will be given your boarding pass. If paper tickets are issued, they are normally sent to you 7-10 days prior to travel.
FOREIGN OFFICE
Up to date advice on all countries can be obtained from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on www.fco.gov.uk , or telephone the Travel Advice Unit on 0845 850 2829.
HEALTH
Please check with your doctor at the time of booking, about inoculations/medication required for the countries you are to visit. Some preventative measures need to be taken well in advance of travel. The DOH leaflet ‘Advice on Health for Travellers’ is available.
HOTEL RATINGS
Our ‘star’ ratings are based on our own inspection visits and are intended as a guideline only, bearing in mind that some hotels have a lift, restaurant, or swimming-pool and others do not. Self-catering apartments and villas are not rated.
PASSPORTS/VISAS
Your specific passport, visa and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and the information given in our brochure applies to British Citizens.
PASSPORTS – For all our holiday destinations your British Passport should be valid for six months beyond the duration of your visit. If you are not a British Citizen you should contact the relevant Embassy/Consulate for advice on Passport requirements.
VISAS – Certain countries require Visas. We will advise you at the time of booking on the procedures for obtaining these). Visas are required for British Citizens for the following countries: INDIA; TANZANIA; CUBA; OMAN; EGYPT; VIETNAM; CAMBODIA; RUSSIA
If you are not a British Citizen you should contact the relevant Embassy/Consulate for advice on Visa requirements.
We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with the above Passport/Visa requirements.
SPECIAL REQUESTS/DISABILITIES
If you have any special requests that do not form part of our contract as described in the brochure, we will always try to meet such requests. However these cannot be guaranteed or confirmed.
Due to the individual nature of some of the hotels and holidays in this brochure, we advise you to enquire when booking, if you use a wheelchair, have restricted mobility or other disabilities, as to the suitability of the holiday you may be interested in joining. To assist us, we may ask you to complete an appropriate form.
SWIMMING-POOLS/AIR-CONDITIONING/HEATING/WATER SUPPLY
There are occasions when it is necessary for swimming-pools or other installations to be cleaned or repaired. This is normally undertaken as quickly as possible. We are unable to accept responsibility for non-use of any service for the first 3 days when cleaning and/or repairs are being undertaken and limit compensation after 3 days to £5 per day per person.
TRAIN TRAVEL
Some of our holidays and tours use Eurostar services connecting with European train networks. As with most train travel, passengers are responsible for carrying baggage on and off the train. Baggage can be stored on overhead shelves or at the entrance to the carriages. Trolleys are available at Waterloo, Ashford or Paris, but bags do need to be carried on to the platform.
TOURS
Our tour itineraries are prepared some months in advance and we are kept well informed by our Agents’ abroad. However it is necessary for us to reserve the right to alter the itinerary if local conditions or unforeseen circumstances make this necessary. Each tour is subject to a minimum number of travellers in order for it to operate, but we do have a maximum number on any tour of 25 persons. Full details are available on request.
