About Cricketer Holidays
OUR BEGINNINGS
Originally established in 1974 to arrange accommodation for cricket tours in Corfu, (hence the name ‘Cricketer Holidays’), we soon became aware that there was a growing demand for specialist holidays and tours. Gradually the association with cricket diminished. Today we have no connection with the game - only the name remains - but our holidays have gone from strength to strength.
We were one of the first travel companies to recognise that not everyone wanted to be herded around in groups, but preferred to remain individual, within the security of a company ready and willing to arrange all the details.
As the demand for holidays increased, we set out to discover unusual destinations, away from the mass tourism market, visiting many countries to seek out new places to stay and individual hotels in unspoilt areas. Today the company is a thriving, respected business with holiday destinations in over 36 countries and islands, spanning four continents.

The company’s success can be attributed to the very personal service we give to every one of our guests. Our small, dedicated team has a wealth of knowledge and experience which enables us to provide varied and interesting guided tours with just the right mix of sightseeing, travel and relaxation. For those who prefer independent holidays, we personally research and select hotels where the emphasis is on quality and attention to detail.

Cricketer Holidays is one of the smallest and most specialised tour operators in the country, with an extensive mailing-list built up over many years. The consistency of our products and our attention to detail brings more than 70% of our business from repeat bookings and personal recommendations and some of our clients have travelled with us more than 20 times!
