2 CENTRE COMBINATION HOLIDAYS Tobago/Grenada/Barbados - prices on request and subject to availability |

This genuinely unspoilt and friendly Caribbean island has rainforests, colourful birds and an abundance of fruit and vegetables, all set amidst spectacular scenery and beautiful beaches.
TOBAGO, situated in the southern CARIBBEAN SEA is half way between GRENADA and the VENEZUELAN coastline. Still largely undiscovered by travellers, this island is full of colour, warm smiling faces and a huge variety of interesting places to visit.
Although there are beautiful beaches with swaying palms all around the island, Tobago offers much more than just a beach holiday. Here the flora and fauna are exceptional. You can visit the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere along Tobago’s central ridge of mountains, with its numerous easy trails and waterfalls, and experience the best bird-watching in the Caribbean. The 450 acre bird sanctuary island of LITTLE TOBAGO is a major Caribbean nesting site and important stopover on migration routes. Colonies of seabirds – boobies, terns, frigate birds and the colourful, red-billed tropic bird can be seen here.
Agriculture and fishing are still more important than tourism and pretty fishing villages stretch all along the windward coast. There are old cocoa and sugarcane plantations with their great houses to visit, and historical forts from the 31 recorded times when the island changed hands. Tobago’s palm-fringed beaches, many of which are almost deserted, offer plenty of opportunity for relaxation, including boat trips, snorkelling, excellent swimming or simply admiring the spectacular sunsets as you sip your evening rum punch or cocktail.
SCARBOROUGH, the capital town of Tobago, is just 20 minutes walk from Blue Haven Hotel, and is an interesting small town with restaurants, shops and a port. It is well worth hiring a car to visit the many other villages and small towns, mostly with very English names of the original estate owners, or where they came from in England.
We have included an historical guided tour to ARNOS VALE ESTATE and WATERWHEEL. Whilst enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace of the Arnos Vale Hotel you will be able to watch many exotic birds in the surrounding tropical gardens.

November – May is the official dry season and daytime temperatures are normally between 75°F and 85°F, but occasional tropical showers can occur.
