This beautiful island, immortalised in the novel, ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’, lies just off the coast of western Greece. The largest of the Ionian Islands, Kefalonia is both verdant and rugged, with superb island views and crystal clear waters. There are also valleys strewn with wild flowers in spring, stunning beaches and pretty villages and harbours.
