On arrival in Johannesburg you will then drive to the MPUMALANGA HIGHLANDS and the delightful small town of Dullstroom, for a stay of one night at Critchley Hackle ***. Situated beside its own trout lake and surrounded by quiet, beautiful gardens, this is an ideal place to relax before continuing on your tour. Dullstroom is within easy walking distance of the hotel with a few shops, cafés and restaurants.
En route to the KRUGER NATIONAL PARK you will drive through stunning scenery taking you to the BLYDE RIVER CANYON. One of South Africa’s most impressive natural features, the canyon is nearly 30km long and the views in all directions are spectacular. Continue to BOURKE'S LOCH POTHOLES where you will have lunch. These amazing cylindrical holes have been carved into the rock by whirlpools created at the confluence of the Blyde and Treuer Rivers.
Travelling further east your next 2 nights will be at Jatinga Country Lodge located on the outskirts of WHITE RIVER, MPUMALANGA. Furnished in an English country/Colonial style, Jatinga prides itself on giving guests a very personal service. There is a swimming pool and elevated wooden deck overlooking the White River, ideal for taking a sundowner. The river banks are ideal for leisurely walks where there is abundant birdlife.
The Kruger National Park is world famous for its size, history and programme of conservation. The vast game lands are home to prolific animal, bird and plant life. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino (the Big Five) are all there to be seen as well as cheetahs, giraffe, hippo and many more. Your home for 2 nights will be in LION SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE at the River Lodge built on the banks of the Sabi River. Here you will experience a high standard of true African hospitality. Two evening and two morning game drives are included.

Your journey now continues to the area of the famous BATTLEFIELDS. You will stay at ISANDLWANA LODGE**** for 2 nights. The lodge is ideall situated so that you can enjoy views over the beautiful Isandlwana Plain and visit the legendary sites of RORKE'S DRIFT and ISANDLWANA.
From here in total contrast you will head for the coast and stay at the elegant Beverley Hills Hotel***** for 3 nights. The hotel is situated on the coast with views over the Indian Ocean and is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Umhlanga with a number of shops and restaurants. This is an ideal place to relax before continuing your journey to the peace and tranquillity of the CENTRAL DRAKENSBERG MOUNTAINS and a final 2 nights at the Drakensberg Sun****, before driving back to Johannesburg for your return flight to the UK.
