This lovely tour is based in the pretty mountain village of VILLABASSA in the heart of the DOLOMITES, about 35km north of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Part of Austria until the end of the Second World War, the area combines traditional Austrian charm with Italian style and is a wonderfully scenic and relaxing destination for a week’s break.
The attractive lakeside town of Bolzano is our destination for another full day tour. The town has a distinctly Tyrolean air and is the gateway between the Italian Trentino and German-speaking Alto-Aldige regions. The area is also famous for its wine and there will be an opportunity to sample some of the local produce.
Capital of the Austrian Tyrol, the delightful city of Innsbruck is dominated by a wonderful backdrop of mountains and glorious scenery. There is much to explore and a wealth of sights include the famed Golden Roof, Hofburg Castle and Maximillian’s Mausoleum.
